A delegation from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) visited LUMS on 27 June 2018. The delegation included Mr. Xu Yonglin, the Vice President of SUIBE, Mr. Guo Xuetang, Deputy Dean of School of Law, Ms. Li Wanli, Dean of School of Accounting and Mr. Liu Hui Deputy Dean of School of Statistics and Information.
The delegation met with various stakeholders at LUMS. A lunch meeting with the Dr. Martin Lau, Dean of the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law and faculty at SDSB lead to discussions on options and opportunities of mutual collaborations. The delegation then met with Dr Jawad Syed, Dean Suleman Dawood School of Business. The discussion revolved around exploring possibilities for faculty/student exchange, collaborative research avenues and other ideas for academic endeavors in the context of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Possibility of a joint conference on CPEC was also discussed. The delegation met with the Vice Chancellor during which ideas for collaborations with SUIBE at the university level were deliberated.
