Dr. Jawad Syed, Dean SDSB, had a detailed meeting with His Excellency Yao Jing, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, to discuss China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and contributions LUMS could make in terms of research, case studies and capacity building in this regard.
Dr Jawad Syed introduced the China Pakistan Management Initiative (CPMI) at LUMS and explained how this initiative is striving to promote world-class research, education and training on Sino-Pak business relations, policy and management in the context of CPMI. The Chinese Ambassador appreciated the efforts SDSB is making in promoting and facilitating CPEC related activities and building collaborations with universities and institutions in the two countries. The meeting was very fruitful and the discussions provided an opportunity to identify areas of key mutual interest and cooperation between LUMS and the Chinese mission in Pakistan.
