Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja is Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and Director of Executive MBA program at Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB). Dr. Jajja has served as the Faculty Director at Rausing Executive Development Center in past and is associated with SDSB since January 2014. His research work has published in world-class journals including Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Production Planning & Control, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Business Strategy and The Environment, International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Management Decision, Benchmarking: An International Journal, and International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management. He presents his research papers at globally-esteemed research conferences such as Annual Meeting of Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) and European Operations Management Association Conference.
Dr. Jajja has participated in Global Colloquium on Participant-Centred Learning at Harvard Business School, Boston and several other platforms of excellence in case writing and teaching. His pedagogical material has published in Harvard Business School Publishing, Case Research Journal of North American Case Research Association, and Asian Journal of Management Cases. He has written cases on companies including Service Industries Limited, Millat Tractors Limited, TCS, Daraz.pk, Nayatel, and Qadri Group.
Research and scholarship of Dr. Jajja has received several best research paper and teaching material awards from international platforms including DSI, Asian Management Research Conference, SDSB, University of Vermont School of Business Administration, and Emerald South Asia Management Research Fund Award. During Ph.D. he won Best Student Paper Award at Annual Meeting of DSI in 2012 in San Francisco USA, Emerging Economy Doctoral Student Award at Annual Conference of Production and Operations Management Society in 2012 in Chicago USA, and Best Graduate Student Paper Award at Annual Meeting of Western DSI in 2011 in Portland USA. He received Doctoral Fellowship of Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia to collaborate with Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Indian School of Business Hyderabad.
Dr. Jajja has extensive experience in providing executive education and consultancy services. Dr. Jajja has designed, directed, and taught several open enrolment and customized executive education programs in the areas of supply chain management, retailing management, procurement management, problem solving and decision making, technology and innovation management, participant-centred pedagogy, project management, and family business governance. Dr. Jajja has provided consultancy services and customized executive education programs to international organizations including United States Agency for International Development (USAID), WEConnect International, SAARC Energy Center, and International Resources Group and Pakistani organizations including Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited, Packages Group, Punjab Resource Management Program, Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority, Directorate General Monitoring and Evaluation Punjab, Qadri Group, Institute of Business Administration Sukkur, Air University, Peshawar Electric Supply Company, and Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Dr. Jajja did Ph.D. in Operations Management in 2013 on scholarship of Lahore University of Management Sciences (AACSB Accredited), the leading business school in Pakistan. He got the first position and Gold Medal in M.S. in Total Quality Management from University of the Punjab in 2006. Earlier he did B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore in 2004.
Prior to joining LUMS, Dr. Jajja worked as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi for one year in 2013. Before PhD, he worked with Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Pakistan International Airlines, Atlas Honda, and Dawood Hercules Chemicals Limited over a period of around four years during 2005-08.
